So it's been over a year since fellow cyclist, Zachary Manago, was killed in a 'hit and run' during the Island Unstoppable ride. Its been a long year awaiting an outcome of the events, but finally yesterday was the court date. The man responsible pleaded 'no contest' and was handed down a ten year sentence. Although no verdict could ever bring Zach back, at least now the healing can begin for all of his friends and family. In honor of Zach, a group of riders left the courtroom and redecorated a city bike rack as a replica of Zach's own bike. When I saw this pop up on the internet yesterday I have to say my heart was warmed and moved. It's the undying dedication of Zach's friends that lead the police to the man responsible and their dedication that continues to keep his memory alive. These are truely the understated meanings of friendship and life.

I stopped by HNL bike polo today. It was also Jorge's 21st birthday and he made a mess out of his bday ice cream frankenstein sundae. The game were pretty amazing. It's great seeing the guys getting so good. PROPS

Sometimes we have a bit of fun inbetween working at Morals Fiber. We have a newly installed wind tunnel to test the aero dynamics of the shirts we print, so we took pictures.

Back in Hawaii! It's great to get back home. Seeing friends, family, and eating all the great food I missed. However the weather has been less than desirable. We find ways to get by though. Cruising at Kicks/HI, bike polo/Clarks birthday (slight weather break), Cinnamon Challenges, and printing new AF tees at Morals Fiber. I can't complain.

I know people may be a bit tired of my Australia posts...But I'm not so too bad. Actually this is my last aussie post. This was my day on the Gold Coast. Breakfast with Mellie Tjoeng and her bf Brad. Then later dinner at a small Thai place with my sister, bro in law, and nephew. Then finally some tourist shots of Sydney, which I spent the entire day poking around until my flight out. Sydney was actually pretty awesome and I should have set aside more time for it. Next time I will totally put time aside for Sydney and Melbourne.

Also for the new blog update. FixieGC bike polo. The thing I love about bike polo is, no matter where you go or how good you are at the game, it's always fun and generally everyones cool. The guys on the GC are no exception, everyone I met was super nice and just down for bikes. A huge thanks to FixieGC's founder Bennett. He always hit me up for hanging out and always offered a bike to use. Thanks Braddah!
